Our Story

Welcome,friend.

We are Raisa and Brian. Our journey is one of healing, curiosity, and remembering who we have always been.

Thank you for finding your way here.

Welcome, friend.

There is something beautiful about believing the body was designed to heal. Not because healing is always easy, but because somewhere beneath the noise, the trends, and the endless search for the next solution, there is a quiet knowing that our bodies were created with incredible wisdom. Maybe that's what brought you here. Maybe you're looking for answers. Maybe you're simply looking for hope. Whatever your reason, we're so grateful you've found your way to this little corner of the world.

We're Raisa and Brian, and if there's one thing we've learned, it's that healing isn't about becoming someone new. It's about remembering who you've always been.

Raisa & Brian

It Started With a Question

Two diagnoseschanged our path.

Our journey didn't begin with herbs. It began with two diagnoses that changed the direction of our lives forever.

At just seventeen years old (the year was 2007), Raisa was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. In 2019, Brian was diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus and chronic gastritis. Like so many people, we were given prescriptions and told how to manage our conditions, but neither of us could shake the feeling that there had to be more. We weren't searching for a miracle. We simply wanted to understand why the body was struggling in the first place.

That one question led us down a path that completely transformed the way we viewed health, food, and the remarkable intelligence of the human body.

Chapter One

The Kitchen Was Only the Beginning

We started by changingwhat was on our plates.

Long before we created herbal formulas or hosted retreats, we started by changing what was on our plates.

We immersed ourselves in nutrition, learned how food influences inflammation, hormones, digestion, and the nervous system, and began sharing recipes online simply because they were helping us. To our surprise, thousands of people connected with what we were creating. What started as recipes grew into ebooks, educational resources, and eventually an incredible community of people searching for a more intentional way to care for themselves.

Looking back, those recipes were never really about food. They were about hope. They were the first invitation to believe that our daily choices could become powerful acts of healing.

Those recipes were never really about food. They were about hope.

Chapter Two

Returning to Our Roots

We went to learn fromthose who never forgot.

As our curiosity grew, so did our desire to learn from cultures where plant medicine has never been forgotten.

Beginning in 2022, we traveled throughout the Ecuadorian Andes and Amazon, spending time with Indigenous communities, traditional healers, and Kichwa elders whose relationship with medicinal plants stretches back generations. We came as students, listening far more than we spoke, learning that the forest holds a wisdom impossible to find in books alone.

Every experience reminded us of something simple yet profound: nature has always known how to nourish, support, and restore the body. The knowledge was never lost. Much of the modern world simply drifted away from it.

Chapter Three

A New Chapter in the Cloud Forest

In 2025, we madeEcuador our home.

Today we live in the cloud forest, nestled between the Andes Mountains and the Amazon rainforest, where waterfalls tumble through the valleys, orchids bloom in every season, hummingbirds dart between flowers, and the clouds drift low enough to become part of everyday life. Living here has changed us in ways we never expected. It has taught us patience, gratitude, and reverence for the rhythms of nature.

When you spend enough time in places like this, you begin to realize that healing doesn't happen because we force it. It happens when we create the conditions that allow the body to do what it has always known how to do.

Chapter Four

Why We Created Kawsaypac

Every herb we offertells a story.

Every herb we offer tells a story. Because someone generously shared generations of knowledge with us.

Our Kawsaypac herbal line is the result of years spent learning directly from Kichwa communities and traditional healers who welcomed us into their homes, ceremonies, and way of life. Every formula reflects those teachings while honoring the people who have protected this wisdom for centuries.

Our herbs are sustainably wild-harvested with deep respect for Mother Earth, never irradiated, and sourced directly from the communities who steward these plants. By working without middlemen, we're able to support the families preserving this ancestral knowledge while ensuring every product reflects the integrity of its origins.

More Than a Wellness Brand

It's aboutconnection.

The Electric Eats has never been about selling products.

It's about helping people remember that health is not built through perfection, fear, or endless protocols. It's built through connection.

Connection to the food we eat. The herbs we consume. The people we love. The earth beneath our feet. And perhaps most importantly, the wisdom already living within our own bodies.
